Publishing is dry-run gated

The Threads connector works, but publishing stays in dry-run until Meta's app review passes. You can connect the account and compose posts. Nothing is actually posted.

Threads posts will sit in the queue and log what they would have sent.

Connect

Settings, then Connections, then Threads. OAuth redirect, approve, return.

Threads is also a research source: you can track Threads accounts and search Threads posts by keyword.

Threads search is crippled by Meta's access tier

On Meta's default Standard Access:

  • Profile lookup only resolves Meta's own handles, not arbitrary accounts.
  • Keyword search returns only your own posts.

The code is complete. The access is not. This unlocks when Meta grants Advanced Access through App Review.

So a Threads search returning nothing useful is expected today, not a bug you can configure your way out of.

Saving hooks from Threads

One thing that does work: when a Threads search does return a post, "Save as hook" stores its text directly. No AI call is involved, because a good Threads post already is a hook. See Hooks.
